Most healthy adults are suitable for implant treatment, but factors such as gum health, bone density, and smoking status can affect your suitability. If additional preparation (like a bone graft or sinus lift) is needed, we’ll talk through the options with you at your consultation.
Implant treatment is typically carried out over several months, in carefully planned stages:
1. Your consultation
We begin with a detailed assessment, including scans and X-rays if needed. We’ll talk you through the treatment options, costs, and what to expect at each stage.
2. Implant Placement
The implant is placed into your jawbone in a precise surgical procedure. This is usually done under local anaesthetic, with sedation available if preferred.
3. Healing & Integration
Over the next few months, the implant bonds with your bone. We’ll monitor your progress closely during this time.
4. Final Restoration
Once healed, we’ll fit your custom-made crown, bridge, or denture — carefully crafted to match your natural teeth in shape and shade.
